General Overview of the Company
Kuruman Community Mining and Other Projects Primary Co-operative Limited (KCMO)
are operating from Kuruman in Gasegonyana Local municipality, Gamagara municipality and Joe Morolong municipality of John Taolo Gaetsewe District. It is a Northern Cape province-based business with high affinity towards local community development while providing diverse services to the surrounding mining houses. KCMO is currently providing extensive support services to UMK where it was initially established under social labour plan, SLP, KMR and SGS. The company employs 135 employees predominantly send from the local communities represented by 27 village’s proxies in consultation with the board of directors. The company has a flat management structure that was initially supported by a consulting company, until 2016 where the only direct support remaining is through a general manager consultant position.

To provide mining employment opportunities to local communities, through a developed capacity based on “on-the-job” training and mining industry exposure to first time market entrants, while meeting contractual obligations through legislative compliance and excellent customer service.
